Course Description:      Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to perform basic communication practices.

Outcome:                        Radio Operator

Pathway:                         Participants can continue by undertaking the Surf Rescue Certificate.

Course Title:                   SILVER MEDALLION BASIC BEACH MANAGEMENT 

Course Description:      Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to manage a beach in
                                         emergency and non-emergency situations.

Outcome:                        Patrol Captain

Pathway:                         Participants can continue by undertaking the Beach Management Award.

Pre-requisites:               17 years +
                                         Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) / Bronze Medallion

                                         Be proficient in one of the following:
                                                   Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) / Bronze Medallion
                                                   Radio Operator Certificate
                                                   Advanced Resusciation Techniques Certificate
                                                   Resuscitation Certificate
                                                   Defibrillation Certificate
                                                   Senior First Aid Certificate
                                                   Spinal Management
                                                   Surf Rescue Certificate (CPR Endorsed)
